The Williamsville Farmers Market was founded in 2007 by a small group of community-minded Village of Williamsville residents who volunteered their time and efforts learning how to start, organize and sustain a farmers’ market. Truly a labor of love!
Did you know that on average food travels about 15,000 miles to reach your fork? Not at our market! Everything sold at our farmers’ market is grown and produced within 60 miles of our community. Farmers from the Northtowns to the Southtowns bring their seasonal farm fresh fruits and vegetables, which are picked at peak flavor to ensure their freshness and taste . . . oh, the taste!
The exchange of food from the farmer’s hand to yours is an experience not to be missed. And the Market’s ambiance fosters a feeling of family-style friendship and camaraderie for the hundreds who attend the market each week. Our farmers’ market brings a sense of home, community living and the desire to connect with our roots. We have come to learn, that by supporting farmers’ markets we are helping our small family farms remain viable.
The abundance of quality farmers, specialty food producers, vineyards and bakeries at The Williamsville Farmers Market provides a wealth of opportunity to embrace our local bounty. Enrich yourself and visit the market this season!
