Plato Dale Farm

Proprietor: Kent Miller

The Plato Dale Farm got its name from the small dip (or dale) in the valley carved near a little stream called Plato Brook, which runs through his parents’ dairy farm.

Plato Dale is a beef, chicken, and vegetable small-scale, sustainable farm located on 200 acres of pasture, gravelly peat, and woodland. They grow a large variety of summer and winter produce, including some fruits, heat-resistant lettuces, and other greens. Plato specializes in specialty farm food, like hard-to-find herbs and 100 percent grass-fed Jersey beef sold in halves, quarters, and cuts. Although the beef is not organic, the chickens are organic-fed and the entire farm is in the process of being certified organic — a multiyear process.
